When your child wakes up sick and just can't go to school, but you absolutely must go to work, Wee Care is there to help. More than a decade ago, John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital set the standard for creative solutions to the community's pediatric health care problems when it started Wee Care, a day care center for mildly sick children whose parents cannot stay home with them.
Wee Care is located on the first floor of the Medical Office Building directly north of John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital. It is open on a first-come, first-served basis to children from 6 months old until their 13th birthday who are experiencing illnesses such as colds, ear infections, chicken pox, pink eye and urinary tract infections.
Wee Care is managed by a registered nurse, operated by trained pediatric caregivers and backed up by the emergency resources of John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital. It remains the only facility of its kind in the North Valley.
