Lincoln GIVES
Through grants, Lincoln GIVES funds John C. Lincoln employee-sponsored community programs, John C. Lincoln health care and community service programs and provides employee assistance.
Managed by employees of the John C. Lincoln Health Network, Lincoln GIVES offers employees a means to contribute directly to the causes they most want to support. Lincoln GIVES also affords emergency assistance to employees who find themselves in unforeseen and difficult financial situations.
This popular charitable program is administered by the John C. Lincoln Health Foundation and overseen by the Foundation's board. Employees who feel passionate about a community program are encouraged to apply for a grant of financial support. In addition, employees and managers from throughout John C. Lincoln can apply for grants to support Network health care and community service programs when operational funds aren't available.
Committee members—11 elected employees representing every entity in the Network—review all grant requests and make recommendations to the Foundation board for final approval.
Lincoln GIVES grants have funded everything from community theater to health education. They have helped keep our colleagues in their homes, put food on their tables and cover the costs of sudden medical expenses.
Ways to Support this Program
If you're an employee and would like to support this program, there are a few simple ways to contribute. Becoming a part of the HOUR Club is a great way to give back, through payroll deductions totaling one or two hours of pay a month. You can also designate a specific dollar amount in a payroll deduction, or make a one-time contribution.
